PS3
As promised, UNCHARTED 3: DRAKES DECEPTION EXCLUSIVE TO THE PLAYSTATION 3, from those out of control developers living in the kennel down in Santa Monica, California at Naughty Dog, will be hitting store shelves in just a little over a week and we're here to fan the flames adding fuel to that fire and get you even more pumped and set for the games launch this November 1st. THE DAY AFTER HALLOWEEN!
Now, we've been all over the net and the gaming community and media websites, many of the larger ones are really putting themselves behind Uncharted 3 and getting the word out and that's excellent! We'd suggest that if you have a PlayStation 3 and Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, which you hopefully followed up with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and vice versa, that you would pass along the good news of this game and really spread the joy. This is an absolutely amazing game and for us, the most anticipated game of this year. We've had an excellent year in gaming and an especially stellar year from Sony and Sony Computer Entertainment America with Mass Effect 2, Killzone 3, LittleBigPlanet 2 which recently got Move Support, InFamous 2 that introduced us to the Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception Mutliplayer Beta and most recently Resistance 3 and Batman: Arkham City and it doesn't end there. Hence, our UNCHARTED 3: DRAKES DECEPTION FORTUNE HUNTER HYPE.
So, to start out, we're going to suggest right off the bat that you pull out that copy of Uncharted: Drakes Fortune and dust that baby off and slide it into the disc tray and play it throughout the week following it up with Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, which isn't going to need that dust blown off if you've been keeping up with the multiplayer. Then again, you could be so engaged in Uncharted 3 multiplayer in which case, we understand. But its a good refresher.
Uncharted: Eye of Indra Episode 1
What we've got for you here is a video that you can pick up through the PlayStation Store on the PlayStation Network. It was released shortly before Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and was written by Neil Druckman in a sort of motion comic sort of a style and is entitled 'Uncharted: Eye of Indra.' This episode is courtesy of Machinema. Eye of Indra takes place before Uncharted: Drakes Fortune as Nathan Drake searches for the means to fund his expedition to find his great, however many greats, relative Sir Francis Drake and runs into a familiar friend while making new friends. (Hey Nate is just a popular guy) This is Episode 1 of 4.
As well, there are many Hollywood films you can pick up that share that same style of story-telling with the Uncharted Series and because Uncharted has that Hollywood style cinematic experience fans love, why not give you some films to get you pumped and ready as well. Thus, we're going to go ahead and start you out with 'National Treasure' staring Nicholas Cage and the stunning Diane Kruger which tells the story of Benjamin Franklin Gates (Cage) whom descends from a family of treasure-seekers who've all hunted for the same thing: a war chest hidden by the Founding Fathers after the Revolutionary War. Ben, joined by Abigail Chase (Kruger) are close to discovering its whereabouts, as is his competition, but the FBI is also hip to the hunt.
