Yesterday, it was all about Benjamin Franklin Gates crashing into the Library of Congress and stealing the book only viewed by the President of the United States and his kidnapping of the President in order to uncover the mystery surrounding the assassination of former President Abraham Lincoln by the actor John Wilkes Booth. Today however, we're going to explore things a little further south say-- Columbia? That's right, when Joan Wilder (Kathleen Turner) a romance novelist learns of the kidnapping of her sister down in Columbia, she drops everything to head out in search of her sister and deliver the map that can save her life. However, during a sleight detour and an accident, Joan is stranded in the middle of the jungles of Columbia and isn't exactly prepared. After running into Jack T. Colton (Michael Douglas), Joan enlists him in her search for her sister but shortly after discovering the truth as to why Miss Wilder is in Columbia, Colton wants no part of it until he discovers the map to the greatest treasure that can buy him what he's always wanted. A boat. Now he must survive the dangers of one of Columbia's most dangerous of citizens and deal with one a set of cousins Ira (Zack Norman) and Ralph of Queens, New York (Danny DeVito) and sucker a woman out of what is the only thing that can save her sister in a a film Produced by Michael Douglas (The Game) and Directed By Robert Zemeckis (Back to the Future) a film telling the story of one crazy adventurer and his desperate accomplice not only for her sister, but the perfect man to sweep her off her feet just like in her novels in the dangers of Columbia, the only way for Colten to obtain the Heart, is by 'Romancing the Stone.'
