NEW! Uncharted 3: Drake's Fortune Info Surfaces Including Install (PS3)

It would appear that Dr. is finally in as we've received photo's of the box art for Sony Computer Entertainment America and Naughty Dog's upcoming title releasing this coming Tuesday exclusive to the PlayStation 3. Its truly a sight to behold and we've learned the latest as to the system requirements.

According to the packaging of the game, it will feature the usual reversible cover art as is typical with all Sony first-party games and, go figure, supports 3D, but for the first time that I can recall, actually has you install the game to the PS3 HDD. Co-President of Naughty Dog Christophe Baleastra was quick to report with the launch of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves that there was no game installation required and the game would run entirely off of the disc which really surprised us. However, we'd learned that the console still cached out a certain percentage of data and on newer boxes of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Game of the Year Edition, states that there's a 1GB of data required on the HDD.

Well, it seems that Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception is no different than its older brother as the games requires a very small install of 1GB of data on the HDD which, like is done with Battlefield 3 could be data stored on the HDD that is texture related. This is an assumption of course as to the use of that data stored on the HDD but, if your HDD is looking a little full, might want to clear out some space for this puppy. This doesn't include DLC that will be launched at a later point.

We're getting closer indeed and it appears to be waiting ever so patiently to fall into our hands! For those who are able to enjoy a midnight release, and to those who do not, we feel for you.
