What Do the Charts Say?

Its that time again and its been a really amazing week for the sales of some of the current gen hardware and maybe a bit of a struggle for others, nevertheless there are something interesting things to point out. We're learning that gamers have more money to spend on this stuff than anyone would have ever thought. The Nintendo 3DS is sitting at the best selling hand-held unit this week with astounding worldwide sales. As far as consoles go, the PlayStation 3 continues to dominate in sales over its Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii sales. Its also worth noting that according to VGChartz, the PlayStation 3 is rapidly closing in on the Xbox 360 overall sales. Looks like Sony is doing something right and may force Microsoft to announce its next gen console sometime soon.

Analayst Michael Patcher had predicted that the PlayStation 3 wouldn't outsell the Xbox 360 in total sales by the end of this year, but we've learned that Michael Patcher is a fraud and hasn't been able to accurately predict anything. Its amazing the guy is still getting a paycheck that that Wedbush and Morgan are still in business. All-the-same, here are the numbers for the week. We've decided this week to post the overall sales as well.
