Resident Evil In Fact Coming to XBLA and PSN

Resident Evil 4 HD is no longer rumor and will in fact be hitting PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE! Arcade at some point. However, there seems to be much more as Resident Evil Code: Veronica HD will be riding shotgun (no pun intended) along with it. In a trailer released by Capcom officially confirms the release of these two titles along with some footage of Resident Evil Mercenaries coming to the Nintendo 3DS as well as a new Resident Evil known as 'Resident Evil: Revelations' which for now has only be confirmed for the Nintendo 3DS.

I'm assuming this may have been the title that was shown several years ago at Sony's E3 Press Conference around the announcement of the PSP Go. Capcom may have decided to scrap that project and put it in 3D on the 3DS instead as a PSP Resident Evil still has not surfaced several years later. Its my speculation anyway.
