Not too long ago, it was announced that PlayStation 3 version of Child of Eden would in fact be receiving Move support. It seems that it doesn't necessarily stop there. It would seem at an event called Kapow! Comic Con (that I've never heard of before) Child of Eden was mentioned for both the Xbox 360 version and PlayStation 3 version. Though the Xbox 360 news remains to be seen.
Developer Q Entertainment who made the port of Sega's PS2 'Rez' game to the Xbox 360, and Ubisoft announced the Xbox 360 version of Child of Eden could be seeing a 'corset peripheral' that basically holds four controllers to allow for vibration function. That's some hefty weight for vibration function. I hate to sound so negative about it, but the Kinect was supposed to be a controller free experience where you are the controller. This doesn't really help and in fact, it's proving the need for a controller and buttons at that. It seems attachments similar too, what for example EA Sports Active are using aren't possible for that size I suppose, but really, its being proven not too far into Kinects lifespan a controller of some sort is necessary. Q Entertainment says the peripheral can be made available if there's enough demand. No photo's the setup have been made available, but if it does surface, we'd better hope its kid friendly cause really, a controller coming loose at the excitement of a little kid and crashing into a new HDTV cracking the screen isn't going to go over well. But we'll see.
On the other side of the fence, Child of Eden for the PlayStation 3 will be another addition to Sony's 3D gaming library as 3D support for the PS3 version has been announced.
